Instructions
Cut 2 lengths of the 72" fabric at least 7" wide, so that you have two pieces of fabric 7 inches wide by 72 inches long. Fold each side of fabric inward to create a 3" wide x 72" long piece. Press the inward folded sides with an iron on a medium-high setting to hold them in place.A 12-inch wreath form, will require about 108 inches length, total. You will have a little of the fabric left over, more or less depending on how much you overlap the fabric while wrapping it around the wreath.
Start to wrap the wreath by attaching the end of a strip of fabric to the back of the Styrofoam form. Hold it in place with two or three pearl head fabric pins.Continue to wrap the fabric over the wreath form, making sure to overlap the fabric so that the foam underneath doesn't show.
When you reach the end of the fabric, fold it under and pin it to the form. Pin the end of the next piece of fabric at the same location and continue to wrap. When all the wreath form is covered, cut away excess fabric, leaving about 4" of it for the end.Finish by folding the end of the piece of fabric under and pin into place.
Make a large, multi-layered bow with the satin ribbon. Attach it to the front top of the wreath. Sew it onto the fabric, or tack it on with hot glue. Make V-cuts in the ends of the two pieces of hanging ribbon.
Pin brooches and embellishments onto the fabric. Lay them on the front of the wreath first, to decide on the placement of each piece before attaching them. If you are using buttons, earrings or other elements that don't pin, you can tack them down with hot glue.
Sew a ribbon loop to the back of the wreath for hanging.
Add a large pin or decorative flourish to the center of the bow. This can also be sewn or glued into place.
